A German automotive parts manufacturer approached AUKE with a unique challenge: to design a set of storage baskets for the various components of a wheel hub assembly, comprised of six distinct parts. This collaboration led to innovative designs that not only address the specific needs of the client but also enhance the overall workflow in their production environment.
The project's inception centered around the storage of lightweight, thin metal components that make up a single wheel hub assembly. Given the nature of these components, the client faced significant challenges in terms of storage efficiency and protecting the parts from damage.
